Angels Visit If you have received this already from someone else and are receiving it again, feel honored, for that means that a lot of others wish only good for you also. |

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem." The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. |
The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.. "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it." "Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem." Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every out come is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until some time later... ..........................Oooo Some people..........(.) come into our lives.) / and quickly go.....(_ / oooO ( ) Some people \ ( become friends \_ ) and stay awhile... leaving beautiful..Oooo footprints on our..( ) hearts...............) / ......................( _/ .oooO .( ) and we are .\ ( never ..\_ ) quite the same because we have made a good friend!! PHILIPPIANS 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success. Pass it on to ten people whom you want to see blessed. Don't forget to send it back to the one who sent it to you. |

Let's all take time for God Just think about it and say a prayer READ ONLY IF YOU HAVE TIME FOR GOD God, when I received this e-mail, I thought.... I don't have time for this... And, this is really inappropriate during work. Then, I realized that this kind of thinking is exactly what has caused lot of the problems in our world today. We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning... Maybe, Sunday night... and, the unlikely event of a midweek service. |
We do like to have Him around during sickness.... and, of course, at funerals. However, we don't have time, or room, for Him during work or play... because that's the part of our lives we think we can, and should, handle on our own. |
May God forgive me for ever thinking... that there is a time or place where... God is not to be FIRST in my life. We should always have time to remember all God has done for us. If, You aren't ashamed to do this... Please follow the directions. |
Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father." Not ashamed? Pass this on ONLY IF YOU MEAN IT!! Yes, I do Love God. God is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without God, I will be nothing. Without God, I am nothing. But, with Christ, God strengthens me. (Phil 4:13) |
This is the simplest test. If You Love God... And, are not ashamed of all the marvelous things God has done for you... Send this to ten people and the person who sent it to you! I don't think I know 10 people who would admit they love Jesus.. |
Do You love Him? THE POEM I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due.. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees. My Christian duty was now done My soul could rest at ease. All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer. No time to speak of Christ to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear. No time, no time, too much to do, That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need But at last the time, the time to die. I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes. For in his hands God held a book; It was the book of life. God looked into his book and said "Your name I cannot find. I once was going to write it down... But never found the time" Now do you have the time to pass it on? Make sure that you scroll through to the end. Easy vs. Hard Why is it so hard to tell the truth but yet so easy to tell a lie? Why are we so sleepy in church but right when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up? Why is it so hard to talk about God but yet so easy to talk about nasty stuff? Why is it so boring to look at a Christian magazine but yet so easy to look at a nasty one? Why is it so easy to delete a Godly e-mail but yet we forward all of the nasty ones? Why are the churches getting smaller yet the bars and dance clubs are getting larger? Do you give up? Think about it ... Are you going to forward this, or delete it? Just remember-God is watching you. Prayer Wheel-Let's see the devil stop this one! Here's what the wheel is all about. When you receive this, say a prayer for the person that sent it to you.... That's all you have to do.... There is nothing attached.... This is so powerful.... E-mail this to ten people and watch God's answer to prayer work in your life. And send it back to the person who sent it, to let them know that indeed it was sent out to many more. |

What a Great Attitude! |
The 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady, who is |
fully dressed Each morning by eight o'clock, with her hair fashionably |
coifed and makeup Perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, |
moved to a nursing home today. Her husband of 70 years recently |
passed away, making the move necessary. |
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the |
nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she |
maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description |
of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her |
window. "I love it," she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old |
having just been presented with a new puppy. |
"Mrs.. Jones, you haven't seen the room ... just wait." |
"That doesn't have anything to do with it," she replied. |
Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my |
room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged... it's how |
I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it "It's a decision I make |
every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in |
bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no |
longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. |
Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new |
day and all the happy memories I've stored away ... just for this time |
in my life. Old age is like a bank account ... you withdraw from what |
you've put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of |
happiness in the bank account of memories. Thank you for your part in |
filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing. Remember the five simple |
rules to be happy: |
1. Free your heart from hatred. |
2. Free your mind from worries. |
3. Live simply. |
4. Give more. |
5. Expect less. |

It's a Wednesday night and you are at a church prayer meeting when somebody runs in from the parking lot yelling, "Turn on a radio, turn on a radio!" And while the church listens to a little transistor radio with a microphone stuck up to it, the announcement is made: "Two women are lying in a Long Island hospital dying from a 'mystery' flu." Within hours it seems, this thing just sweeps across the country. People are working around the clock trying to find an antidote. Nothing is working! California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts. It's as though it's just sweeping in from the borders. And then, all of a sudden, the news comes out. The code has been broken. A cure can be found. A vaccine can be made. It's going to take the blood of somebody who hasn't been infected, and so, sure enough, all through the Midwest, through all those channels of emergency broadcasting, everyone is asked to do one simple thing: Go to your downtown hospital and have your blood type taken. That's all we ask of you. When you hear the sirens go off in your neighborhood, please make your way quickly, quietly, and safely to the hospitals. Sure enough, when you and your family get down there late on that Friday night, there is a long line, and they've got nurses and doctors coming out and pricking fingers and taking blood and putting labels on it. Your wife and your kids are out there, and they take your blood type and they say, "Wait here in the parking lot and if we call your name, you can be dismissed and go home." You stand around, scared, with your neighbors, wondering what in the world is going on and if this is the end of the world. Suddenly a young man comes running out of the hospital screaming. He's yelling a name and waving a clipboard. What? He yells it again! And your son tugs on your jacket and says, "Daddy, that's me." Before you know it, they have grabbed your boy. Wait a minute! Hold on! And they say, "It's okay, his blood is clean. His blood is pure. We want to make sure he doesn't have the disease. We think he has got the right type." Five tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses, crying and hugging one another ... some are even laughing. It's the first time you have seen anybody laugh in a week, and an old doctor walks up to you and says, "Thank you, sir. Your son's blood type is perfect. It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine." As the word begins to spread all across that parking lot full of folks, people are screaming and praying and laughing and crying. Then the gray-haired doctor pulls you and your wife aside and says, "May we see you for moment? We didn't realize that the donor would be a minor and we need ..... we need you to sign a consent form." You begin to sign and then you see that the number of pints of blood to be taken has been left blank. "H-how many pints?", you ask. And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says, "We had no idea it would be little child. We weren't prepared. I'm sorry sir, we need it all!" "But but .. You don't understand." "We are talking about the world here. Please sign. We need it all!" "But can't you give him a transfusion?" "If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign? Would you sign?" In numb silence, you do. Then they say, "Would you like to have a moment with him before we begin?" Can you walk back? Can you walk back to that room where he sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?" Can you take his hands and say, "Son, your mommy and I love you, and we would never ever let anything happen to you that didn't just have to be. Do you understand that?" And when that old doctor comes back in and says, "I'm sorry, we've GOT to get started! People all over the world are dying. Can you leave?" Can you walk out while he is saying, "Daddy? Mommy? Daddy? "Why, why have you forsaken me?" And then next week, when they have the ceremony to honor your son some folks sleep through it ... some folks don't even come because they go to the lake or the seashore ... some folks come with a pretentious smile and just "pretend" to care. Would you want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED FOR YOU! DON'T YOU CARE?" Is that what GOD wants to say? "MY SON DIED FOR YOU. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?" "FATHER, Seeing it from YOUR eyes breaks our hearts. Maybe now we can begin to comprehend the great Love YOU have for us." *You can now spread the GOSPEL ..... or just delete this email. If you are not ashamed of GOD or what HE has done for you pass this on. A friend is someone who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy and Grace and makes the world a better place to live in.. |
