The
Sundbo’s
Hello
from Molly, Betty and Dick
My
name is Molly Sundbo. I am an
English Setter dog. I was born in
December 1994 and I was adopted by Betty and Richard (Dick) Sundbo the following
January. I live with my family in
Buffalo Center, IA. Below is a
picture of our house. That’s
me standing on the front steps.

My
adopted dad tells me that now I am getting older and I must act more
mature. I’m an active dog so it
is really tough for me to behave like a grown up, but I try.
I don’t live outside any more so I don’t have my own house anymore.
I live in the family house and I go everywhere Betty and Dick go.
Everyone tells me I am an attractive dog. Below
is a recent picture of me.

My
dad tells everyone that I am the best hunting dog he has had and I am very proud
that he feels that way. Hunting
pheasants is my favorite hobby and if I must say so myself I am pretty good at
finding roosters. That's me below with some of the pheasants I pointed during the hunting season.

My
adoptive parents do a lot of traveling.
I ride in the truck and I have the back seat all to myself.
I’m not too interested in sight seeing so most of the time I just
sleep. We usually go to Florida during the winter months and in the summer we split our time between Buffalo Center, Iowa and fishing at the Chippewa Flowage in Wisconsin.
Below is a picture of my adoptive parents.

and Dick)
I have seven English Setter sisters
and one brother. I don’t know
where they live. I visited my biological mom last year but she didn't seem to be too
interested in what has been happening with me.
I also have three adopted human siblings.
I really like them and their families.
Below is a picture of our entire family.
You can see that I have a lot of adopted relatives.

Let
me tell you about my family. My
oldest adopted sister is Tammy, who lives in Florida. Below
is Tammys picture.
(Tammy)
Tammy
has a Jack Russell dog whose name is Cleo.
Cleo is a small dog and I love to intimidate her.
I eat her food and drink her water whenever we visit her. I really like Cleo but somebody has to be the top dog.
Below is Cleo’s picture.
(Cleo)
My
adoptive brother is Erik Sundbo. Erik
is a project manager and trainer for a company that manages preventive and
corrective environmental services. He
is married to Gia and they live in Minnesota.
They don’t have a dog but they have four wonderful children.
The children love me and they want me to live with them.
When they come to visit us in Buffalo Center they play with me all day
long and they see to it that I get all the dog treats I want. The names of the
children are Erik Christian, Anna, Marielle and John.
The Sundbo family picture is below.

My
youngest adopted sister is Stacy Fay. Stacy
is a laboratory technician. She and her children
live in Wisconsin. They have two dogs.
The oldest dog is Buffy. Buffy is a
Cocker Spaniel.
I haven’t had too much contact with Buffy but I think he is a nice dog. The youngest dog is a yellow lab whose
name is Lexis. Lexis is a big dog. I'm a little afraid of her.
Stacy has two children.
I really like them and they like me.
Their names are Jessica and Zachary.
Their family picture is below.

Dick,
who is my adoptive dad, was born on October 17, 1933 at Beloit, Wisconsin.
His mother and father were Hilda and Harold Sundbo.
They immigrated from Kvitseid, Norway.
Harold passed away when Dick was just a baby and his mother married
Albert Olson who was a wonderful stepfather for Dick.
Dick graduated from Luther College and did his postgraduate work at
Luther Theological Seminary and Northern Illinois University.
He served several Lutheran churches in Wisconsin and managed many mental
health and social services programs. Dick
enjoys fishing, hunting pheasants and deer, flying radio control model planes,
and woodcarving. Below is a picture
of a carving Dick did of me. The
carving is only 2 inches high but it looks like a huge statue.

Betty who is my adoptive mom was born on March 31, 1934 at Buffalo Center,
Iowa. Her mother and father were
Evelyn and Jasper Burma. Betty’s mom lives in a nursing home and she visits us
at our house very often. I like it
when she comes over because she is very good at petting me.
Betty received her teaching degree at Luther College.
She taught kindergarten at several schools.
She also worked as a bookkeeper and did general clerical work. Betty spends a lot of time visiting and doing things with her
mother. She is active in our
church. When she has free time she
enjoys any activity that allows her to be outside in the sun.
I
would like to hear from other English Setter dogs and any other hunting dogs. Dick would like to hear from people in Norway and from
pheasant hunters. Betty would like
to hear from anyone who enjoys the out of doors and who just likes to talk.
I
hope this give you an overview of my family.
