RADIO STATIONS IN THE IMPORTANT MAS CITIES
OF THE STATE OF GUERRERO

In 1983, the government of the state, creates Guerrero Radio, like a wireless system destined to spread to the values and cultural traditions. This station was born in the city of Chilpancingo and at the moment it has extended on the Small Coast and Great Coast, counts on filial stations in Acaulco, Hot Earth, Catalan Coyuca of and Ometepec. Also he spreads some programs that are transmitted in the television.

Of recent creation it is the radio station and Television of Guerrero (RTG), constituted by the government of the state and that arrives at almost all the populations of the organization.

TELEGRAPH.-
Service that is constituted by 66 administrations, where 57 are telegraphers, 5 wireless radio operators and 4 offices, which estan distributed in 50 municipalities of the 76 which they conform the state.

The length overall of the telegraphic lines adds 433,8 kilometers including the different zones from the guerrerense organization.

According to information registered until December of 1992 the data are the following ones:
- they were taken care of for envois and reception 58.513 money orders of which 45.763 were for the rear area and 12.750 were on watch international.
- 414.633 telegraphic turns were received and 201,424 were transmitted.
- 72.266 telegrams were transmitted and 86,899 were received.

CORE.-
Servico conformed by a total of 368 postal offices, of which 56 are administrations and 312 are agencies of post office. The mail operates in the 76 municipalities of Guerrero and several of ejidos or the colonies that conform them.

TELEX.-

TELEVISION.-
At the moment 13 televising stations work in the state, of which 12 are repeating and 1 is local: Radio and Television of Guerrero (RTG); of these 13 stations 11 they are concesionadas and 2 permisionadas ones.

The local channel of Television also produces and transmits programs filmed in Acapulco, with a cover that arrives at this city. The RTG television transmitter has own production, but its televising signal also arrives at Chilpancingo.

Ademàs is counted on the services of Television by cable in the following cities: Acapulco, Iguala and Taxco, existing the project to introduce this service to the cities of Chilpancingo and Zihuatanejo.

PRENSA.-
This mass media are constituted like one of the most used in the state and better distributed throughout the organization.

From recent introduction to the market of the communication by computer, with the first node of access to the national and international network in all the state, the company of BTU Comuniación S.a.. of c.v. the 1 of April ofº1996 initiated operations.
Account with a connection RDI (Red Digital Integrada), that is to say, communication via Optica Fiber, with 16 lines of access and connects to the IBM network OPENNet that guarantees a direct and safe connection to the world-wide network.

ELECTRIFICACION.-
6.036 localities exist in the state, of which 5.915 belong to rural area (98% of the total) and 121 to the urban one (2% of the total).

Of the electrified total population (6,036), to the 31 of December of 1993, the advance of electrification in the rural area is of 66,36% and 100% in the urban zone.

Segun data of the Federal Commission of Electricidad (C.f.e.), Division South Center, until the year of 1992 the organization counts on 5 generating power stations of electricity, of which 3 are of type hydroelectric, 1 of turbogas and 1 thermoelectrial one, located in the following municipalities:
- Apaxta de Castrejón:
Hydroelectric the Caracol with 3 units of 600 MW (potential real installed) and 103.610 GWH (gross generation of energy).
- Quechultenango:
Hydroelectric Colotlipa with 4 units of 8 MW (potential real installed) and 2.982 GWH (gross gneración of energy).
- Acapulco de Juárez:
Hydroelectric the Sale with 6 units of 3 MW (potential real installed) and 15.004 GHW (gross generation of energy).
Turbogas of the Crossings with 3 units of 36 MW (potential real installed) and 121 GWH (gross generation of energy).
- The Union:
Thermoelectrial of Petacalco with 5 units of 1.750 MW (potential real installed) and 4 units more for the year of 1994.

Like result of this, the generating power stations count on a real power of 2.425 MW, generating a production of 21.717 GWH, production that will be increased when they give to beginning 4 units more of the Thermoelectrial Petacalco, that contributes the greater real power of MW that is generated in the state. In addition to the construction of Hydroelectric of the Parota in the municipality of Lieutenant Jose Azueta, who will count on 3 units of 624 MW (potential real); work that will be in construction during 1995-1999.
