VICENTE GUERRERO
(1783 - 1831)

He was born in Tixtla, Gro., the 10 of August of 1783. Guest by the Galeana was
united to the movement of Independence. He operated in the Edos. of Oaxaca and
Puebla under the orders of Morelos.
Died Matamoros, Morelos and Mine, and being prisoners Brave and Rayon, hizó
that Guerrero was the only caudillo who in 1817 continued fighting the Spaniards
with guerrilla tactics obtained to some victories important and for that reason
the apodaca virrey envio to the father of Vicente to convercer it to break off
the battle, mission in which failed.
In 1821 the realist Iturbide and Guerrero agreed itself and declared the
Independence of our country (Plan of Equals). Guerrero yielded the control to
Iturbide but it fought it when this emperor declared itself.
Guerrero became head of the yorkino party and of April to December of 1829 it
occupied the presidency of the Republic.
In 1838 Bustamante one seized of the power, not being able to put under
Guerrero, that defended its position, resorted to the treason. By 50 thousand
pesos in gold Fco. Picaluga he kidnapped to Guerrero, after inviting it to eat
in his brig. He gave it enemy to his, who shot it in Cuilapan, Oaxaca the 14 of
February of 1831.
